DeWalt

DeWalt is a familiar name for site and workshop kit. This range covers DeWalt 18V XR power tools such as a drill, SDS drill and impact driver, brushless oscillating tools, finish nailers, DeWalt drill bits and extreme masonry bits, plus workwear including waterproof jackets and DeWalt safety boots.

Many tools are supplied as bare units, which means battery and charger are not included, so they suit anyone with other DeWalt XR batteries. If you are buying your first tool, check what comes in the box before ordering. A DeWalt SDS drill is designed for hammering into masonry with SDS-plus bits, whereas a standard DeWalt drill suits wood, metal and light fixings. Brushless motors tend to run more efficiently.

For boots and clothing, look at the size, safety rating and waterproof label. DeWalt safety boots with a steel toe cap, such as the Apprentice style, are common on building sites, and waterproof boots come in black and honey colours. Choose the DeWalt drill bits that match your tool and material, for example SDS-plus masonry bits for brick and concrete.
