Hinges
Find a hinge for almost every door, gate and cupboard in this range. Choose butt hinges for internal doors, tee hinges for sheds and gates, brass hinges for a polished look, and black hinges to suit traditional or heritage styles, mainly from Securit and Smiths Architectural.
Sizes run from 50mm flush hinges and 75mm hinges through 100mm hinges up to 400mm heavy tee hinges. Materials include steel hinges in zinc plated and black finishes and brass butt hinges, supplied as pairs or multi-pairs. Backflap hinges and cranked brass options are also available.
Match the size to the weight and thickness of the door, and use at least two hinges, adding a third on heavy or tall doors. Check the screw size and finish at the same time, and fit all hinges to the same recess depth so the door hangs square. For outdoor gates, zinc plated or black coated hinges resist the weather better than bare steel.
