Radiators & Heating
Find a radiator and the fittings to go with it. The range includes single and double radiators in white and anthracite, designer vertical styles, a towel radiator for the bathroom, plus underfloor heating mats from Giavani. Brands include SP, Oracstar, Evolve and Kartell.
Radiator valves are sold as pairs and singles, straight and angled, in chrome and white, with 15mm the size most common on UK pipework. A towel rail radiator needs matching valves, so choose the finish at the same time as the radiator. Chrome radiator valves suit a bright bathroom, while white and anthracite match painted rads. Pipe covers in chrome sit neatly over exposed pipe runs.
When choosing a heating radiator, check the width and height against the wall space, the pipe centres against your existing connections, and the heat output against the size of the room. If you are unsure about output, ask a heating engineer for a heat loss calculation.

How to choose radiator and heating parts
Most heating jobs start with the right valve or key.
| Product | Best for | Things to know |
|---|---|---|
| Thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) | Controlling individual room temperature | Check boiler guidance on bypass radiators |
| Manual radiator valve | Simple on and off control | Pairs with a lockshield valve on the other end |
| Radiator bleed key | Releasing trapped air | Turn heating off and let radiators cool first |
| Central heating inhibitor | Protecting against corrosion and sludge | Follow the dose for your system size |
| Radiator brackets | Mounting or replacing radiators | Fix securely into the wall type |
Radiators & Heating: frequently asked questions
What size radiator valves do I need?
Most UK domestic radiators use 15mm pipework, so 15mm valves are the usual choice. Check the pipe diameter before ordering.
What is the difference between straight and angled radiator valves?
Straight valves suit pipes coming up in line with the radiator inlet, while angled valves suit pipes that come out of the floor or wall at a right angle.
Do I need a towel radiator valve set?
A towel radiator still needs two valves, one to control flow and one to balance the system. Pairs are sold so you can match the finish.
How do I choose a white radiator size?
Work out the room heat requirement in watts or BTU, then pick a size whose stated output meets it. Allow for windows, wall type and ceiling height.
Can I change a radiator myself?
Swapping like for like is a common DIY job, but it means draining the system, so you need to be confident with isolation and refilling. Use a Gas Safe engineer for any boiler work.
