Tapes
Choose the tape that matches the job. This range includes masking tape in 36mm, 38mm, 48mm and 50mm widths, duct tape and Duck Tape in black and silver, Gorilla tape, Sellotape, sensitive masking tape and anti slip mat from SupaDec, Q1, Duck Tape, UniBond, Gorilla and Bostik.
For painting, masking tape gives crisp edges and peels off cleanly when used within the time on the pack. Q1 masking tape and other sensitive types are made for delicate surfaces such as fresh paint. For repairs, black duck tape and black Gorilla tape bond to many surfaces, hold fabric and hoses together, and handle moisture. A tape with a cloth backing tears by hand and is easy to apply on curves.
Check width and length before you buy: 50m rolls suit decorating rooms, while 10m rolls are enough for small repairs. Apply to clean, dry surfaces and press down firmly along the edge. Remove masking tape before the paint is fully cured, pulling back at an angle. Some surfaces, such as new wallpaper or lime plaster, may be damaged by strong adhesive, so test a hidden spot first.
