Tiles & Flooring
Finish a tiling or flooring project with floor tiles, wall tiles, tile trim and edge profiles in one place. The range includes Johnson wall tiles, Tile Rite trim in PVC and metal effect, listello strips, angle edges, self-adhesive thresholds, aluminium cover strips and self-adhesive vinyl options from d-c-fix, Golden Tile, Palio and Stikatak.
A wall tile trim hides the cut edge of tiling and protects outside corners, while a floor tile trim or threshold creates a clean change where a tiled floor meets another surface. Tile Rite trim comes in different heights, so match it to the thickness of your tile, such as 7mm, 8mm or 10mm. Wall and floor tiles can differ in thickness and strength, so check that a product is suitable for floors before using it there.
Measure the area and allow extra for cuts, usually around 10 percent. Use the right adhesive and grout for the room, and leave the recommended time before walking on a new floor.

Tiles & Flooring: frequently asked questions
What size tile trim do I need?
Choose a trim height that matches the tile thickness, for example 8mm for an 8mm tile. Measure a spare tile first.
Can wall tiles be used on a floor?
Not usually. Wall tiles are often thinner and less hard wearing, so only use tiles stated as suitable for floors.
How many tiles should I order?
Measure the area, then add about 10 percent for cuts and breakages. Buy all tiles from one batch if possible.
What does a tile trim do?
It covers the raw edge of tiles, protects corners and gives a neat finish at changes in surface or level.
Do I need a threshold strip between floors?
A threshold strip joins two floor types and covers the gap, helping prevent trips and edge damage.
