Bedec

Bedec makes specialist paints for walls, woodwork, barns and floors, and this range covers nearly 150 products. It includes Bedec masonry paint and Extra Flex, Bedec Aqua Advanced gloss and satin, Bedec MSP soft gloss and soft satin, semi gloss barn paint and acrylic floor paint, in tins from 250ml to 5L.

Bedec Extra Flex masonry paint is made for exterior walls and has a flexible finish, so it suits surfaces where hairline cracks may open. Bedec MSP is a multi surface paint used on wood, metal and plastic, with soft gloss in colours such as Holly and Dark Grey. Bedec Aqua Advanced Gloss and satin are water-based finishes for doors and trim, available in brilliant white and black, which are easier to clean up than traditional gloss.

Match the paint to the surface and the conditions. Clean masonry, remove loose paint and treat any algae before applying. For metal, wood and plastic, key the surface and use a suitable primer if the label says so. Look up coats, drying times and litre coverage on the tin, and avoid applying in damp, cold or very hot weather. Barn paint gives a tough covering for farm buildings and outbuildings.
