Brackets & Shelving

Fit shelves securely with shelf brackets, angle brackets and corner brackets for homes, sheds and workshops. The range includes ornamental scroll brackets, chrome plated twin slot brackets, zinc plated mending plates and tee plates, nail plates and corner brace brackets in packs, from Securit, Smiths Ironmongery, Securpak and Simpson Strong-Tie.

White shelf brackets are a neat choice for painted shelving, and a strong shelf brackets design with a diagonal support is better for heavier loads such as books or tools. A corner shelf bracket or shelving corner brace is used to reinforce joints in frames and boxes, while a shelf bracket angle with a decorative curve suits kitchens and living rooms. White angle brackets and white corner brackets blend into painted joinery.

Pick the bracket size from the shelf depth, aim for a bracket arm about two thirds of the shelf depth, and match the screws and wall plugs to your wall type. Fix into studs or masonry rather than plasterboard alone, and check for hidden pipes and cables first.
