Carlube

Carlube supplies engine oils and car maintenance fluids, and this range includes Carlube oil in several grades. Carlube Triple R oils come in semi synthetic 10W-40 and fully synthetic 5W-30 for VW applications, there is a 2-stroke mineral motorcycle oil, Carlube brake fluid in DOT 3 and DOT 4, and a diesel injector cleaner in 300ml.

The numbers on an engine oil describe its viscosity, while the specification tells you which engines it suits, so always check your vehicle handbook for the right grade before buying. Brake fluid is graded by DOT number, and you must use the type specified for your car, as DOT 3 and DOT 4 are not always interchangeable. A diesel injector cleaner is added to the fuel tank as part of regular maintenance.

Use the correct oil level, checking with the dipstick on level ground with the engine cold. Keep brake fluid sealed, as it absorbs moisture from the air, and replace it at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of used oil and fluids at a recycling centre, never down a drain. If you are unsure about brake work, have it done by a qualified mechanic.
