Johnstone's

Johnstone's is a trade-favoured paint brand, and this collection brings together its interior and exterior ranges. Choose Johnstone's wall and ceiling paint, Johnstone's matt white paint, Johnstone's matt paint for walls, Johnstone's ceiling paint and Johnstone's silk paint in colours from brilliant white to deeper greys.

Wall and ceiling matt and silk are sold in 2.5L and 5L tins, with colours like Manhattan Grey and Waterfall, while Bathroom Midsheen in Silver Feather suits damp-prone rooms. Johnstone's white matt options, gloss, woodstain and kitchen and floor products broaden the choice. Indoor and outdoor woodstain in shades such as Walnut covers timber.

Match the finish to the room, with matt for ceilings and low-traffic walls and silk or midsheen for busier spots. Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding and cleaning, and apply a mist coat on new plaster. Use the coverage on the tin to calculate quantity, and cut in edges before rolling each wall.
