Sylvania

Sylvania LED lighting covers home, garage and workshop needs. This range includes Sylvania LED GU10 bulbs, T8 LED tubes in 2ft and 4ft lengths, a 5ft LED ceiling batten, ToLEDo Lynx-F lamps, RefLED Superia spotlights and an IP65 white spotlight, in warm white, neutral white and cool white.

Choose the right fitting before anything else. GU10 bulbs fit twist-lock spotlights, T8 tubes replace fluorescent tubes in battens, and a ready-made LED batten gives a complete fitting for garages and utility rooms. Compare lumens to judge brightness, from about 360 lumen for a spotlight to 1800 lumen for a long tube, and pick a colour temperature such as very warm or 4000K natural white to suit the room.

If you are replacing a fluorescent tube with an LED version, check whether the fitting needs rewiring or removing a starter or ballast, since compatibility varies by product. An IP rating such as IP65 shows how well a luminaire resists dust and water, so look for it in bathrooms and outdoor spots. Switch off the power before changing any fitting, and use a qualified electrician for wiring work.
