Specifications

Is a single socket enough?

One BG socket gives one outlet. If a spot needs two plugs, a 2 gang socket in the same antique brass finish is the usual choice, but for a bedside, hallway or lamp point this single socket keeps the plate compact.

Fitting a brass socket

1. Isolate the circuit at the consumer unit and confirm it is dead.
2. Connect live, neutral and earth to the marked terminals, using the twin earth terminals as required.
3. Seat the gasket and fix the plate with the supplied screws.
4. Restore power and test the outlet.
