This Securpak 105 is one of the simplest flush hinges to fit: a 38mm hinge with a zinc plated finish. A flush hinge closes with one leaf inside the other, so it can be screwed straight onto the surface without cutting a recess.

Specifications

Are 38mm hinges big enough?

Small 38mm hinges suit light doors, lids and flaps. For heavier doors, a larger hinge will carry the weight better.

Fitting a zinc plated flush hinge

1. Hold the hinge in position, closed.
2. Mark the screw holes with a bradawl.
3. Screw the outer leaf to the frame.
4. Fix the inner leaf to the door and test.
