A birch hardwood tree stake from Ambassador, 25mm square and 1.8m long. With a spiked end it is built to help a young tree settle, and the 1.8m tree stake suits taller whips.

Good to know
The spike at one end makes it easier to start the stake in the ground. A mallet helps with firm soil, and a proper tree tie finishes the job.
How to use
- Put the stake in beside the tree, pressing it firmly down.
- Secure the trunk to the stake with a tree tie.
- Keep the tie snug but not tight.
- Look at the tie each season.
