Getting started

Many growers set the tubers out in a cool, light place before planting so short shoots form, which is known as chitting. Check the pack for the variety and its planting advice.

How to plant

1. Prepare the bed by digging it over and removing weeds.
2. Make a trench or individual holes at the depth on the pack.
3. Set the tubers in with the shoots facing up and cover with soil.
4. Earth up the stems with soil as the plants grow.
