Why countersink?
A countersink lets a screw head sit flush with the surface, giving a neater finish and stopping heads catching.
How to use
- Drill the pilot hole first.
- Fit the countersink bit in the chuck.
- Place it over the hole.
- Drill briefly until the recess fits the screw head.
- Check with a screw and adjust if needed.
