Where to keep a fire blanket for kitchen use
Hang it by the keyhole where you can reach it quickly, ideally near an exit rather than right above the hob. In a caravan, it hangs neatly from a wall hook.
Using it safely
- Pull the tapes to release the blanket.
- Hold it to shield your hands.
- Lay it over the fire to smother it.
- Turn off the heat and leave it in place.
