Signs your cistern syphon needs a new diaphragm
A flush that only works on the second or third try usually points to a torn diaphragm. Fitting a fresh one often restores a full flush.
How to use
- Turn off the cistern supply and flush it empty.
- Undo the flush pipe nut and lift out the syphon.
- Slide the old diaphragm off the lifting rod.
- Fit the new one, trimming to size if needed, and rebuild.
