Specifications

Choosing tee hinges for a shed door

Longer straps spread the weight of a ledged door across more boards. The 8 inch length suits light gates and shed door hinges where a shorter strap would not reach a ledge.

Fitting gate hinges

1. Line the strap up with a ledge on the door.
2. Hold the short leaf against the post or frame.
3. Mark and pilot drill each hole.
4. Screw both leaves and check the swing.
