Specifications

Is a 100mm butt hinge right for my door?

Match the new hinge to the recess already cut in the door and frame. If the old ones measure 100mm along the knuckle edge, these steel hinges drop straight into the same position, which saves recutting the timber.

Fitting zinc plated hinges

1. Wedge the door at the right height.
2. Mark each hinge outline on door and frame.
3. Chisel the recesses to the leaf depth.
4. Pilot drill, then screw the leaves home.
5. Swing the door and check it closes cleanly.
