Do solder ring fittings need extra pipe solder?

Usually not. The solder ring inside each coupler melts as you heat the joint, so you only need to clean and flux the pipe first.

How to use

  1. Cut the pipe square and clean it.
  2. Flux the pipe ends.
  3. Push into the coupler fully.
  4. Heat until solder shows at both ends.
