Antique pine stain or antique pine varnish?
People often search for an antique pine varnish when they want a warm honey colour with a sheen. This is a woodstain rather than a clear varnish, so the colour goes into the timber and the quick dry satin finish sits on top. Use it on doors, frames and other wood, but pick a decking product for deck boards.
How to use
- Sand back any loose or flaking coatings.
- Clean and dry the wood.
- Stir the tin well.
- Brush along the grain in thin, even coats.
- Keep off rain for 20 minutes after each coat.
