Securlec Prefocus Torch Bulbs 3.5V

These Securlec prefocus torch bulbs are 3.5V replacement lamps for hand torches that use a prefocus fitting. A prefocus bulb has a flanged collar that holds the filament at a set point, so the beam stays centred in the reflector once the new lamp is in place.

Specifications

Which one do I need?

Check two things on the old lamp: that it has a prefocus collar and that it is marked 3.5V. Using a lamp with the wrong voltage in a lamp torch can make it dim or shorten its life.

How to use

1. Switch the torch off and remove the batteries.
2. Unscrew the head and lift out the spent bulb.
3. Drop the new prefocus bulb into the seat so the collar sits flat.
4. Reassemble, refit the batteries and test.
