Which one do I need?
The 42mm length sits in the middle of the drywall range, giving a little more reach than a short screw. That can help where boards are thicker or the support behind is uneven. Measure the board and allow enough screw to grip the frame firmly. Buying in bulk also means you are less likely to run short halfway through a ceiling or wall.
How to use
- Mark the line of each stud or batten on the face of the board.
- Use a cross bit in a depth-setting holder to keep every screw consistent.
- Hold the board tight to the frame and drive straight.
- Set the screw head just below the plasterboard surface so it can be filled over.
- Fill, sand and finish once all the boards are up.
