Which one do I need?
A 10 gauge screw is a step thicker than the common 8 gauge, which gives a stronger fixing where the joint takes some load. The 2 inch length suits fixing one piece of timber to another of similar thickness. The product details also notes the range is fully threaded up to 70mm, with partial thread up to 75mm.
How to use
- Clamp the work and mark where each screw will go.
- Drill a pilot hole in hardwood, close to edges or into end grain.
- Use a pozi bit that matches the recess.
- Drive until the countersunk head sits flush with the surface.
