Which one do I need?

M5 refers to the thread diameter, so the nut and any tapped hole must be M5 too. Choose this long 70mm size when shorter M5 screws will not reach through everything you are clamping. Add up the thickness of all the parts and check enough thread will be left for the nut to sit fully on it.

How to use

1. Make sure the holes in each part line up and will pass an M5 thread.
2. Push the screw through from the side where the head can sit flat.
3. Add a washer under the nut on soft or thin materials.
4. Run the nut on by hand, then tighten while holding it with a spanner.
5. Tighten until firm without crushing the parts, and check again after first use.
