Which one do I need?
The M4 thread is a small size, used for lighter fixing. The 25 length gives room to pass through a couple of thicker parts and still leave thread for the nut. If you are joining very thin sheet, a shorter screw will look neater; for thicker build-ups, check this length is enough before starting. Measure the existing hole too: an M4 screw needs a clearance hole a little larger than the thread so it passes through without binding.
How to use
- Check the holes in both parts line up and are large enough for an M4 screw.
- Push the screw through and add a washer if the material is soft.
- Wind the nut on by hand first.
- Tighten with a screwdriver, holding the nut with a spanner or pliers.
