What does shouldered mean?
A shoulder is a collar between the thread and the hook. It stops the hook when it reaches the surface, so shouldered square hooks sit neatly and evenly.
How to fit screw in square hooks
- Make a small pilot hole.
- Wind the hook in by hand.
- Stop when the shoulder meets the surface.
- Turn the hook so the open side faces the way you need.
