Compare it with the screw you are replacing before fitting, and if the old one is much shorter, a shorter length may be easier to use.

How to use

1. Isolate the power at the consumer unit before removing or fitting any plate.
2. Remove the old screws and check the back box lugs are in good condition.
3. Offer up the plate, start each screw by hand so it does not cross-thread, then tighten evenly.
4. Do not overtighten, as this can crack the plate. Restore the power only once the plate is secure. For fixed wiring work, use a qualified electrician.
