Using steel wool for soldering prep

Rub the pipe end and fitting until the copper is bright, then flux and solder. Wear gloves, as fine steel wool splinters easily.

How to use

1. Pull off a small pad.
2. Rub with the grain on wood, or round the pipe on copper.
3. Wipe away dust and fibres.
4. Carry on with soldering or finishing.
