This Cheshire Mouldings half ball cap is a traditional pine ball cap for the top of a half newel. It is pre-dowelled and fits a 19mm diameter, 30mm deep hole, fixed with adhesive.

Matching your newel post cap
A ball top gives a classic rounded finish. The same newel ball cap shape is also made in hemlock, oak and white primed, so pick pine timber when the rest of your staircase is pine.
How to fit
- Drill a 19mm diameter hole, 30mm deep, in the top of the newel.
- Add adhesive to the dowel.
- Push the pre-dowelled cap into the hole and align the flat side.
- Wipe off any excess adhesive.
