About this product
Cheshire Mouldings One Piece Pine Newel 91mm
This Cheshire Mouldings pine newel is a one piece post, 91mm wide, with a turned, rounded design. A one piece newel is a single length of timber rather than a base and separate top, so it suits a new staircase or a full replacement.

One piece or spigot?
Pick a one piece newel when you are fitting a post from the floor up. If you only want to replace the upper section of an existing staircase newel, a spigot type that fits a base may be easier.
How to fit a turned newel post
- Mark the position and check the height you need.
- Cut to length with a fine saw.
- Fix securely to the floor and stair structure, checking it is plumb.
- Sand the pine timber and finish.
