How much Knauf loft insulation do I need?
Measure the floor area of the loft between the eaves and divide by 11.08m2 to get the number of rolls. Knauf loft insulation 100mm thick is often laid between the joists, with a second layer added across them where you need more depth.
How to lay Knauf 100mm insulation
- Wear gloves, a mask and long sleeves when handling mineral wool.
- Unroll the insulation between the ceiling joists.
- Cut it to length with a long knife and butt the ends together.
- Keep it clear of the eaves so air can still move through the loft.
