Using nylon lock nuts on M6 bolts
Pair them with M6 bolts. Run the nut on by hand until the collar meets the thread, then use a spanner.
How to use
- Pass an M6 bolt through the parts to be joined.
- Run the M6 nut on until its nylon collar meets the thread.
- Tighten the M6 nut with a spanner; resistance rises as the collar grips.
FAQs
How does an M6 nylon locking nut work?
Its nylon collar is smaller than the M6 thread, so it deforms as you tighten and the friction helps hold it.
How many M6 lock nuts are in a Securfix pack?
100.
