Choosing M8 nyloc nuts
These suit M8 bolts and threaded rod. Check the thread before ordering.
How to use
- Pass an M8 bolt through the parts to be joined.
- Run the M8 nut on until its nylon collar meets the thread.
- Tighten the M8 nut with a spanner; resistance rises as the collar grips.
FAQs
How does an M8 nylon locking nut work?
Its nylon collar is smaller than the M8 thread, so it deforms as you tighten and the friction helps hold it.
How many M8 lock nuts are in a Securfix pack?
100.
