Specifications

Which one do I need?

The M6 figure is the thread diameter and must match the nut or any tapped hole. The 40mm length gives room to clamp several parts together. Add up the total thickness of everything being joined, then make sure enough thread passes through for the nut to sit fully on it.

How to use

1. Check the holes line up and will pass an M6 thread.
2. Fit the screw through from the side where the head can sit flat.
3. Add a washer under the nut on soft materials to spread the load.
4. Run the nut on by hand first, then tighten while holding it with a spanner.
5. Tighten until firm without crushing the parts, then check the joint again after first use in case anything has settled.
