Basin waste fittings specification

Which one do I need?

Look at your basin first. A slotted design is for basins with an overflow hole; the slots let overflow water drain away through the waste. If your basin has no overflow, an unslotted type is the usual match.

Fitting the waste

1. Remove the old waste and clean the plughole area.
2. Seat the new waste in the hole with the slots lined up with the overflow.
3. Fit the washer and back nut underneath and tighten firmly by hand, then a little more.
4. Connect the trap, run water and check for leaks.
